As I continue to thoroughly enjoy my Magtech Amplifier mated to my Magneplanar 20.7 speakers, I just want to note here how very happy I am with my Magtech Amplifier. Prior to purchasing my Magneplanar 20.7 speakers, I had the opportunity to audition in another location the same speakers (20.7’s) with both the Magtech Amplifier and over $20,000 mono block amps by a very well known manufacturer. We very carefully controlled the listening session in terms of volume, high quality music selections, and in other important ways (listening position, etc.). This was not a double blind test, but a blind test involving me and another well informed listener. The results were completely clear to both of us - it was not close. The Magtech simply blew away the very high priced mono blocks - not by a fair margin, but by a huge margin.
I subsequently purchased a Magtech Amplifier, and I have never looked back. My extremely large listening space is absolutely ideal for this Magtech-Magneplanar 20.7 combination. Quite frankly, I can’t imagine owning another power amplifier. It is, without question, fabulous on every level.
